Physical fitness has long been a dream of mine. A concept I’ve dabbled in over the years, through health coach certification, a now defunct running/lifestyle blog, and the pursuit of personal challenges – most recently, leaving a decade long marketing career, enrolling in USF and NASM, and completing my first ultramarathon.
Strength doesn’t come from what you can do, it comes from overcoming the things you once thought you couldn’t.
Now, I’m off to pursue my dream of living an active life on more than just the weekends. I’m thrilled to feel the sun on my skin more often than the cold glow of the computer screen.
I’m excited to meet others who are pursuing some goal to better themselves, whether to improve form, keep up with their kids, or just get out of a funk. I’m excited when others are excited and I can’t wait to cheer them on!
I’ve always wanted to work with people, human biomechanics and nutrition fascinate me, and I can talk for days about the necessity of correct form.
I’m so excited to be embarking on what has long been a dream. I’m thrilled to learn everything I can through NASM’s programs, to begin applying that knowledge to training programs (my own included) and to cheerlead others as they strive to meet their own goals in life and health.
